Whilst we are proud to be a very safe and welcoming community, we want to keep Harlow Oval this way! We have an active Neighbourhood Watch scheme. If you have a genuine emergency, please call 999. If you need to contact local police on a non-emergency matter, please call 101 (calls from landlines and mobiles will be charged at a flat rate of 15p per call). If you wish to report an irresponsible dog walker, please call the Dog Warden on 55 66 33. If you have any doubts about the health risks linked with dog fouling, the scale of fines you face for being responsible (up to £1000), or your responsibilities as a dog owner ("escaped" dogs are your responsibility!) please see Harrogate Borough Council's webpage. Please remember that doorstep selling is NOT permitted on Harlow Oval: we are a No Cold Calling Zone as indicated by signs at both road entrances to Harlow Oval. Please remind any doorstep salespeople that they are breaking the law by selling door to door on Harlow Oval. Trading Standards can be notified of illegal cold calling on 0845 404 0506. By enforcing this zone we are protecting vulnerable members of our community and preventing the "casing" of our property.
